Shopify Plus Partner – Taking the Next Level
The journey to partnership has been particularly intensive over the past months. We worked closely with Shopify’s European team through multiple rounds of in-depth professional consultations. Platform capabilities, enterprise expectations, integration patterns, and the specific characteristics of the regional market were all in focus. These discussions not only strengthened our shared thinking, but also made it clear that Shopify Plus today is no longer “just” a webshop engine — it is a unified commerce platform foundation capable of supporting complex, truly omnichannel operations.
One of the most memorable milestones along this journey was the Omnichannel Hub event last autumn, when several Shopify representatives from Europe visited Budapest. The fact that Shopify is engaging with the region locally and in person was already a major milestone in itself, accompanied by a very clear message: the era of regional, AI-driven, unified commerce is not the future — it is the present.

What Does This Mean for Our Clients?
First and foremost, it means that as a Shopify Plus Partner, we can confidently take on complex, high-load, enterprise-level projects — from checkout and backend customization through integrations to stable, long-term operations. At the same time, we are further strengthening our unified operations approach: the real value of commerce is not decided solely on the online interface, but within the background processes — whose orchestration we accelerate with the support of kotta.io.
What Does This Look Like in Practice?
A great example is our iSTYLE.hu project. During the migration from Magento 2 to Shopify Plus, one of the key requirements was to ensure that customers could continue using OTP Online Installment Payment during checkout. We delivered this through a custom Shopify Payments Extension, enabling the installment option to appear natively and transparently within the checkout flow. Moreover, the application status is also trackable in the customer account, improving the customer experience while simultaneously reducing the load on customer support.
